Amendment Now is a nonprofit organization established under the laws of the State of [State] and in accordance with Section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code. Amendment Now is a nonprofit organization. Membership is open to individuals who support the mission of Amendment Now and adhere to the organization’s Code of Conduct.
Membership shall consist of General Members and Voting Members, as defined in the bylaws.
Members shall have the rights and responsibilities as outlined in the bylaws.
The Board of Trustees shall consist of no fewer than five (5) members and no more than fifteen (15) members.
The Board of Trustees shall:
1.Establish and oversee the organization’s policies and strategic direction.
2.Approve budgets and ensure financial accountability.
3.Appoint and evaluate the Executive Director.
4.Represent the organization in legal and public matters.
The officers of Amendment Now shall include a Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary, and Treasurer, as defined in the bylaws. Officers shall be elected by the Board of Trustees and serve as the executive leadership of the organization.
The fiscal year of Amendment Now shall begin on January 1 and end on December 31.
The organization shall generate revenue through:
